Chocolate Pecan Pie Recipe

I thought I'd share my recipe for Chocolate Pecan Pie:



Chocolate Pecan Pie

 

Make your own pie crust recipe or buy one at the store:) Regular sized- not deep dish.

 

Filling:

1/4 c. unsalted butter

2 oz. unsweetened choc.

3 large eggs

1 c. sugar

3/4 c. dark corn syrup

2 t. vanilla

1/4 t. salt

1 1/2 c. pecan halves

 

Melt the butter and choc. in the microwave- set aside and allow to cool.

 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

 

With a mixer, beat eggs until frothy, add sugar, and mix until well blended. 

 

Add: all other ingredients, except for pecans, mix well.

 

Stir in pecans, until pecans are well coated.

 

Pour filling into pie crust. 

 

Bake for 45 minutes- until puffy.
